A. No, its superficial cuts similar to having blood taken by the nurse.
Q. I am not muslim. Can i have Hijama done?
A. Ofcourse, its open to everyone.
Q. How long does a session last?
A. Depending on number of cups, usually 45-60 minutes at first session.
Q. Do you re-use cups and blades?
A. No.We use registered clinical waste company for disposal.
Q. How often should Hijama be performed?
A. Depends on individual treatment.For normal detox, usually once or twice a year. Say for Knee treatment usually three to five sessions.
Q. Can Hijama be performed on childrens?
A. Childrens under the age of 16 cannot undergo hijama without first obtaining written consent of GP.
Q. Can hijama be performed whilst fasting?
A. Due to health and safety concerns,our advice is that hijama should not be performed whilst fasting.
Q. I am on Anticoagulant (Blood thinners) medicine, can i have hijama done?
A. No.
Q. I am breast feeding, can hijama be performed.
A. Yes.
Q. I am pregnant,can hijama be performed?
A. No, its not allowed during pregnancy as it can result in miscarriage.
Q. Can women have hijama done whilst on their Menses (period)?
A. Yes, its safe for women to have hijama done whilst on their menses. There is no Islamic or medical prohibition.
